We have an Elf in the house! And, he is Claire's new best friend named Henry. Our Elf on a Shelf arrived this December. He watches Claire during the day, even when she is not at home. "That's 'cause he's magic, Mommy." she tells me. At night when all of the family is asleep, he flies home to the North Pole and reports to Santa about Claire's behavior. The next morning he is in a new hiding spot, and Claire is the first to find him, always. We love our new little addition.
