Claire is 5- woa.

It seems like a milestone for us.  Claire is 5 and we are in awe.  She is loving life right now- being a big sister is the best.  She is so sweet with Chase.  She will read to him, get things for him, help him down a step, etc.  It is awesome for Sam and I to watch them together.

She had her 5 year appointment last week.  She is growing like a weed.  She is 42 inches (75th%) and weighs 41 pounds (75th%).  She had her eyes and ears checked as it is required for Kindergarten next year.  I am so excited for her to be in my school.  I think it will take some adjusting at first, but it will be great knowing she is safe right down the hall from me :)

What is shocking us most about Claire is that she is learning to read!  The way she sounds out words and puts the sounds together is so cool to watch.  She has a few books that she can really read to us and she is so proud.

We will go ahead with the surgery to remove her birthmark this June.  It was a hard decision for Sam and I, but we know in our hearts it is the right one.  Dr. Bauer will work his magic.  He is the best of the best and we know she will be fine....
